“Transitioning from working with an adult population at a SNF for over a decade to specializing in pediatric speech therapy at a private clinic was a significant change in my career. I was incredibly grateful to have Nikki and Hylan become my mentors through this journey.
Their depth of knowledge, especially in language development and intervention strategies, was evident in every conversation we had, and they always made sure to explain the reasoning behind each approach. They were patient and took the time to answer any questions I had, they never made me feel foolish or uncomfortable, this dedication was invaluable to my growth as a clinician.
Beyond clinical skills, Nikki and Hylan also dedicated time to training me in the essential administrative aspects of changing settings, including thorough documentation that complied with insurance and professional standards, session planning, and effective communication with families.
Additionally, Nikki and Hylan continually encouraged my professional development, recommending valuable continuing education opportunities and resources that kept me updated with the latest research and best practices in pediatric speech therapy.
I highly recommend Nikki and Hylan to anyone seeking a mentor with exceptional skills in training SLPs who are switching populations and/or settings. Their expertise, dedication, empathy, and commitment to fostering the professional growth of others make them an invaluable asset to the field. ”

“As a new grad, finding an opportunity to practice your hard work and knowledge is a daunting but super exciting task. I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into while working with Nikki as a CF mentor, but man— I struck gold. Not only did she provide me with the necessary guidelines and instruction, but she taught me unwritten skills and lessons beyond what was learned in grad school.
Nikki challenged me as a CF by asking me questions when I had them and helped me think about what and why I was doing it. This helped me feel empowered and grow my confidence as a clinician. And for this- I am forever grateful!”

Nikki and Hylan both hold a wealth of knowledge from years of experience and demonstrate a strong passion for the career and mentorship. They are eager to share with new clinicians and have a desire to provide hands-on, direct examples of innovative therapy approaches and treatment ideas. Nikki and Hylan both made time to discuss clients, answer clinical questions, and review treatment reports. They provided strong guidance regarding my clinical practice but also supported me personally and provided me a safe space to grow as a new clinician. I feel fortunate to have had the experience of working under Nikki and Hylan. “Nikki and Hylan truly embody just what it means to love what you do. With their support, wisdom, and guidance, they not only encouraged me as a clinician, but as a supervisor too. Together, they rallied behind our team as number one fans and always had time to lend an ear or answer questions to better support new and experienced clinicians alike. They radiate genuine love, care, and respect for our field, the families we service, and the SLPs lucky enough to work alongside them. This duo is the best of the best!”

“Nikki and Hylan have been instrumental in my evolution as a speech-language pathologist, clinician, parent coach, and entrepreneur. Finding clinical mentors who excel in guidance, education, and coaching while creating a supportive and enjoyable learning environment is a rare and special occurrence. I was fortunate to have Nikki as my Clinical Fellowship (CF) mentor during my first-year post-graduation and Hylan as my lead SLP guide. Together, they taught me the art of genuine connection with patients and families, making therapy a rewarding experience for all. They showed me how to navigate the challenges of working with children and parents and empowered me with the skills to make therapy engaging and fun. Their expertise in parent coaching was invaluable, and I learned how to execute it with precision and effectiveness. Thanks to their mentorship, I gained the confidence to launch my own business just a few years later. Today, I proudly provide speech-language therapy services to esteemed private schools in my area. I attribute my success directly to the time I spent learning from Nikki and Hylan – their impact has been truly transformative.”

“I completed my clinical fellowship while working for Nikki and Hylan, and I can’t say enough about how amazing my experience was. If you are looking for an understanding, passionate, and caring environment to work and grow as a clinician, you have come to the right place. “I am not exaggerating when I say that Hylan and Nikki were born to teach, lead, and mentor young professionals in their field. They are the most incredible mentors who have truly mastered the ability to guide new clinicians in gaining confidence, learning new skills, and becoming individualistic, competent professionals without generating cookie-cutter versions of themselves.
The guidance and support they provide within the collaborative environment they have created is incredibly holistic and genuine yet still very efficient and structured. This supportive environment allows their clinical fellows to grow into their own as clinicians without being scared to ask questions, make mistakes, and experiment. They are an incredibly comforting and supportive presence during direct observation and mentoring sessions while always maintaining the utmost professionalism. I could not have dreamt of a more valuable Clinical Fellowship because of these two incredible women who I’ve had the pleasure to get to know.”
HYLAN
“Words cannot express how incredibly lucky I feel to have had Hylan as my CF supervisor. From the moment I met her during my initial interview, I knew she would change my life both professionally and personally. Hylan has an extremely unique mentorship style that promotes individualized development as a clinician through encouragement and self-reflection rather than criticism. As a very self-critical person, my default when faced with conflict or confusion is to follow my superior to ensure success in the situation. Hylan, however, wouldn’t let me just copy her treatment style to feel like I was doing the right thing. She always answered my questions with another question to help me grow into an individualized, competent therapist who is confident in her clinical decisions and skills. Every opportunity I had to collaborate her was significant, as I always left our interactions feeling calmer, more confident, and eager to learn more. Her incredible passion for our field is intoxicating, and learning from her was an absolute privilege. Hylan was always able to find the perfect balance of being a personable, friendly, welcoming presence while maintaining professionalism and reliability in the workplace. I would not be the therapist I am today without her, and I am forever grateful to have had the opportunity to meet this amazing lady!”

“I feel fortunate to have learned so much from Nikki & Hylan during my CF and early years as an SLP! Compared to my peers, It was clear that I was getting an exceptional clinical fellowship experience thanks to Hylan and Nikki.
Their knowledge and experience using evidence-based practices stood out to me. I also appreciated how much they valued continuing education. The best part was their caring and supportive nature. I always had them for guidance through the ups and downs of the CF experience.
The amount I learned during my time with Hylan and Nikki is amazing. It feels like they taught me more than all my previous externships combined. They were very collaborative and guided me through every step. It was important to me to have supervisors who were patient with me and allowed me to make mistakes, and they were just that.”

“Nikki and Hylan - the dynamic duo! I had the pleasure of working with Hylan and Nikki directly (and remotely) through my Clinical Fellowship (CF). As a new SLP, they helped me with writing efficient and informative evaluations, guided me through tricky sessions, and even assisted withthe licensing process. I enjoyed working with them collectively and individually.
Hylan was my direct supervisor as a CF and was informative, professional, provided great ideas for new EBP /therapeutic strategies, and always timely with responses. She handled every encounter with grace and patience. I feel lucky to have had her as my direct supervisor.
Although Nikki was not my “direct” supervisor, she was awlays supportive and answered any questions that I had. She consistently presented the team with new research to read or think about to better our clinical judgment. I feel lucky to have had both Nikki and Hylan through the first few years of my career, as it has made me more confident in my practice”

“After graduating from my master’s program, I got my first job working in a private pediatric clinic. It would be a huge understatement to say I was nervous. I lacked confidence in my knowledge of treatment and felt like a failure whenever I encountered a small “bump” in the road. My imposter syndrome was always at the forefront of my brain, and I constantly wanted to prove my value - mostly to myself. My clinical fellowship supervisor was kind and always had a word of encouragement. However, she was very hands-off and rarely available to assist with my sessions. After a few months into my CF experience, I remembered Nikki Rosner, the warm and knowledgeable guest speaker who presented to my grad school class about working in private speech clinics. I asked her for advice, and she immediately offered to meet me for coffee. We spent over an hour discussing our shared passion for helping others and providing families with the most ethical, evidence-based treatment. She reminded me that perfection is not the goal - instead, an exceptional therapist cares enough to learn and grow to support their clients better continuously. This dramatically changed my perspective, and I was no longer chasing this unreachable finish line. I gained more confidence in that conversation than I had after months of working in the field because I knew one thing - I cared. By the end of our meeting, Nikki offered me a position working with her at her clinic, and I, without hesitation, accepted. I knew she was the type of mentor I needed to become a highly competent speech language pathologist. Soon after, I met Hylan, my new CF supervisor!
Hylan was everything my previous supervisor was not - available, engaged, approachable, and affirming. She constantly gave me positive feedback and checked in to offer assistance. Whenever I had a question, Hylan was so knowledgeable about different therapy approaches and patiently talked me through every troubling client or failed treatment session. She showed me where to access helpful materials and evidence-based resources and provided specific CEU recommendations to pursue my interests. Whether it was after hours or during her lunch break, Hylan always made time to make sure I felt supported. She continues to be an incredible resource and mentor whenever I need feedback or a fresh perspective.
Nikki and Hylan are two of the most inspiring speech therapists I have had the pleasure of working with. They are passionate, kind, and supportive individuals with extensive knowledge in the field. They consistently make me feel like they are invested in my success, both personally and professionally, and I cannot thank them enough for their guidance over the past five years.”
